Day 1 - Prague
Welcome to Prague! Once you've arrived at the airport, we'll arrange your transport to your hotel. Please consult the information boards in the hotel reception for details concerning your welcome meeting with our guide. In the evening, we'll take you to the vibrant Old Town Square, where you'll find a flourishing mix of tourists and locals. Here, you may choose to dine at a variety of restaurants offering international cuisines, including Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian options. After enjoying your meal, we'll provide a return transfer to your hotel. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Prague
On our second day, we'll delve into the heart of Prague, often hailed as the Baroque gem of Europe. Our local guide will lead an engaging panoramic tour, showcasing the city's most notable landmarks. As part of our itinerary, well visit the imposing Prague Castle, with admission included. Following this, a delightful boat ride on the picturesque Vltava River awaits, offering a unique perspective of this enchanting city this is also included in the tour. The afternoon is yours to discover Prague at your own pace; explore its charming streets, enjoy a local caf, or visit one of its many museums.
Day 3 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
On day three, we set off early to journey into Bavaria, Germany. By midday, we arrive in Munich where you can savour the historic city centre and enjoy a leisurely lunch at your own pace. In the afternoon, we continue our adventure into Austria. In the heart of the Alps, you will find yourself in Innsbruck, the proud capital of Tyrol, where theres time to immerse yourself in its rich ambience. As the day winds down, consider dining in Innsbrucks charming Golden Roof area and Old Town, which offer a delightful array of culinary options before we return to our accommodation for the night.
Day 4 - Innsbruck - Zurich
Begin your day with a visit to the renowned Swarovski Museum, famous for its dazzling crystal pieces. We'll explore the captivating gardens and gain insights into the fascinating process involved in their creation. After this visit, you have some free time to soak up the surroundings before we set off for Zurich. Enjoy the picturesque Tyrolean landscapes during our journey. On arrival in Zurich, spend your evening in the enchanting historic centre by the lake. Here, you'll find an array of dining options offering Indian, Oriental, Italian, international, and Swiss cuisines to suit your taste.
Day 5 - Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich
Today, we embark on a journey through mesmerising landscapes, with towering mountains and pristine lakes awaiting us. Our adventure takes us to the stunning Interlaken region, with a first stop in the charming village of Grindelwald. Here, youll have time to savour a coffee while soaking in the picturesque surroundings before we ascend the mountain by cable car. Upon reaching the top, well follow a winding path to a suspended bridge. For the more adventurous among us, crossing the bridge offers extraordinary views of the surrounding glaciers. Lunch will be served on the mountain, providing a perfect backdrop to our meal.After descending, we head to Lucerne, regarded as one of Switzerlands most beautiful cities. Youll have time to wander and take in the delightful cityscape. Later, we return to Zurich. An optional full-day excursion to Mount Titlis will be offered by our guide. If you choose this, youll start the day with free time in Lucerne, followed by a rotating cable car ride to the summit of Mount Titlis. At over 3,000 metres, this alpine peak provides breathtaking vistas of the glacier and the Alps.
Day 6 - Zurich - Bellinzona - Como - Milan
Today we set off from Zurich, crossing the picturesque Alps to reach the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. Our journey begins with a stop at Bellinzona, famed for its trio of medieval castles, each a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These formidable structures offer a glimpse into the citys past as a strategic alpine stronghold. You'll have free time to explore the charming town centre. Next, we cross the border into Italy, pausing in Como for lunch. This Lombardy gem is renowned for its stunning lakeside gardens and magnificent cathedral. Continuing to Milan, our guide will lead us to the impressive Piazza del Duomo. There's time for you to explore the area before we transfer you to your hotel.
Day 7 - Milan - Pisa - Rome
Today, we continue our adventure by travelling to Pisa. Upon arrival, we'll board a small tourist train that takes us to the Piazza dei Miracoli, known as the Square of Miracles. Here, you'll have the opportunity to marvel at one of Italy's most remarkable architectural complexes, including the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa. After taking in the sights, we'll set off for Rome, where we'll arrive later in the day. As we journey to the Italian capital, anticipate a day filled with awe and anticipation.
Day 8 - Rome
In the morning, we will set off on a comprehensive three-hour guided tour of Rome, affectionately known as the Eternal City. Our exploration will blend walking and panoramic bus rides through the awe-inspiring heart of Imperial Rome. You'll encounter renowned landmarks such as the Arch of Constantine, catch a glimpse of the Colosseum's imposing exterior, and wander past the Imperial Forums. Further highlights include the historical Circus Maximus, the grand Baths of Caracalla, the stunning Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Pyramid of Cestius, and the elegant Castel Sant'Angelo. This immersive tour will conclude around 11:00 a.m. at Vatican City, the independent state nestled within Rome and the pivotal hub of the Catholic Church. After this, our guide will offer an optional chance to delve further into the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, should you wish to explore these treasures in more depth. The afternoon is free for you to explore at your leisure. Later, we will provide a transfer to the vibrant Trastevere district, where you can soak up the lively atmosphere and enjoy dining in its charming restaurants. We'll return to the hotel around 8:30 p.m.
Day 9 - Rome - Florence
Today, we depart from Rome and journey north, admiring the scenic landscapes on our way to Florence. Our first stop is the magnificent Piazzale Michelangelo, where stunning panoramic views of Florence await. After soaking in the vistas, we proceed towards the historic centre. Once there, youll have some time for lunch before we embark on a guided walking tour. Our local expert will take us to iconic sites including the Ponte Vecchio, the impressive Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria, showcasing Florence's rich history and architecture. Known as an open-air museum, this city brims with artistic treasures and charm. Following the tour, youll have the afternoon to explore at your leisure. In the evening, Florence offers a variety of dining options, with numerous restaurants serving up diverse cuisines for you to enjoy.
Day 10 - Florence - Venice
As we journey across the Apennines, prepare to enjoy the breathtaking mountain vistas on our way to Venice. Once there, well take a boat across the Giudecca Canal to reach the Island of Venice, where a local guide will lead us through the iconic St. Marks Square. We will also visit the renowned Murano Glass Factory, where you can marvel at the intricate techniques used in glassmaking. Following the guided activities, you'll have some time to leisurely explore Venice on your own. Accommodation for the night is arranged in the Mestre district.
Day 11 - Venice - Innsbruck - Salzburg
We will depart Venice and travel towards Austria, reaching the charming city of Innsbruck. Here, you'll have some free time to wander through the historic centre and savour lunch in the heart of the Austrian Tyrol. Post-lunch, enjoy our scenic drive through the majestic mountains as we head to the picturesque village of Kitzbhel, renowned as a ski resort with snow gracing its slopes for much of the year. Immerse yourself in the quaint charm of this alpine village before we continue our journey to Salzburg, where we will arrive by day's end. Please note: If our group size is small, we might opt for a train journey between Venice and Innsbruck.
Day 12 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
Our day in Salzburg begins with a morning exploration of this picturesque city, famously known as Mozart's birthplace. Its Renaissance and Baroque architecture is beautifully set against the backdrop of a grand castle. Following our Salzburg visit, we journey through the stunning landscapes of mountains and lakes to St. Wolfgang, a well-known pilgrimage destination in Austria. The charm of the area continues as we travel to Traunkirchen, located alongside the serene Traunsee Lake. Here, we embark on an included cruise, offering exceptional views of four lakeside castles before arriving in Gmunden. After soaking in the scenic delights, we continue our travels to Vienna, arriving in the evening.
Day 13 - Vienna
Today, we'll discover the splendours of Vienna on a panoramic tour guided by a local expert. We'll explore the city's grand avenues, magnificent palaces, expansive parks, and the bustling heart of Vienna. In the afternoon, you'll have the freedom to delve deeper into the city's attractions at your own pace. In the evening, we'll transfer to the historic district of Grinzing, known for its charming wine taverns. Here, you'll have free time to enjoy a meal amidst the timeless ambiance.
Day 14 - Vienna - Budapest
Today, we journey from Vienna to Budapest, Hungary's vibrant capital. After a comfortable three-hour drive, we'll arrive and head straight to Vci utca, one of Budapests bustling pedestrian streets, where you'll have time to enjoy lunch. We then set sail on the Danube River for a boat trip, gliding between the historic Buda district on one side and the lively Pest on the other. This offers a perfect introduction to the city, often dubbed the "Queen of the Danube," with views that are nothing short of spectacular. Following our river excursion, we'll embark on a panoramic tour of Budapests stunning landmarks. You will have some personal time to explore further. In the evening, we offer an optional outing to experience a traditional Magyar show, complete with dinner for those interested.
Day 15 - Budapest - Bratislava - Prague
As we depart from Budapest early, we'll travel towards Bratislava, the scenic capital of Slovakia nestled on the banks of the Danube. Here, you'll have time to wander the charming historic centre and enjoy a leisurely lunch. Afterwards, we continue on to the Czech Republic, reaching Prague by evening. Your journey concludes with the memories of a remarkable adventure. Please ensure you check your flight details in case an extra night's stay is required.
