Day 1 - Prague
Welcome to Prague! Upon arrival at the airport, we'll arrange your transfer to the hotel. Be sure to check the hotel's reception area for information about the welcome meeting where you'll meet your guide. In the evening, we'll take you to the vibrant Old Town Square, a hub of lively tourist activity and dining options. Here, you can choose to dine at one of the many restaurants offering a diverse range of cuisines, including Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian. At the end of your evening, you'll enjoy a comfortable transfer back to the hotel, rounding off your first day in this captivating city. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Prague
Today, we'll explore Prague, the Baroque jewel of Europe. Our day begins with an enlightening panoramic tour led by a knowledgeable local guide, showcasing the city's most remarkable landmarks. A visit to the majestic Prague Castle is included, offering a glimpse into the historical heart of the Czech Republic. Following this, experience the city from a different perspective with an included boat ride along the Vltava River, providing a serene view of Prague's stunning architecture and landscapes. In the afternoon, youll have free time to discover the city at your own pace, allowing you to delve into its rich culture or simply savour its charming atmosphere.
Day 3 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
Well set off early for a day of exploration beyond Prague, heading towards Bavaria in Germany. Our first stop is Munich, where youll have the afternoon to wander the historic city centre and enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of the local eateries, perhaps sampling some traditional Bavarian fare. As the day progresses, well continue our journey into Austria, arriving in the picturesque Alpine region. Here, you'll have the opportunity to explore Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, renowned for its stunning mountain vistas. Take some time to wander the charming streets of the Old Town and the Golden Roof area, where you'll find plenty of options for dinner amidst this delightful setting.
Day 4 - Innsbruck - Salzburg
Today, we will explore the captivating world of crystals at the Swarovski Museum, with your admission included. Dive into the mesmerising displays and see how these exquisite crystal masterpieces are crafted. Once we've marvelled at the museum's gardens, you'll have the opportunity to wander through Innsbruck's historic centre at your own pace. Our adventure then leads us along enchanting mountain roads to Kitzbhel, a Tyrolean gem renowned for its premier ski resort and the celebrated Hahnenkamm Race, famed as one of the most thrilling alpine skiing events globally. By evening, we will arrive in Salzburg.
Day 5 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
Well delve deeper into Austria today, beginning with Salzburg, famously known as Mozarts city. In the morning, we'll explore its enchanting Renaissance and Baroque centre, dominated by the impressive castle. Our journey continues through picturesque lakes and mountains until we reach St. Wolfgang, a notable pilgrimage destination. Then, we proceed to Traunkirchen, beautifully situated by the serene Traunsee Lake. Here, we embark on a scenic cruise, taking in views of four of the lake's majestic castles before arriving in Gmunden. Ending our day on a high note, well make our way to Vienna, where well arrive by evening.
Day 6 - Vienna
Today, we'll set out on a guided panoramic tour of Vienna, a city renowned for its grand avenues, stunning palaces, and expansive parks. This tour, led by a knowledgeable local guide, will give us a captivating introduction to the city's historical and cultural highlights. In the afternoon, you are free to delve deeper into Vienna at your leisure, whether that's exploring its museums or strolling through its lively streets. Come evening, we'll transfer you to the Grinzing district, a quaint former wine-growing village that has been integrated into the city. Here, you can enjoy the local atmosphere and perhaps dine in one of its traditional taverns.
Day 7 - Vienna - Budapest
Today, after a three-hour journey, we will reach Budapest, the vibrant capital of Hungary. Our first destination will be Vci utca, a bustling area where you will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch at your leisure. Following this, we'll indulge in a scenic boat trip on the Danube River offering unparalleled views of historic Buda on one side and the cosmopolitan charm of Pest on the other. Afterwards, we'll embark on a panoramic tour of the city, often hailed as the "Queen of the Danube," where you'll be introduced to its rich history and dynamic atmosphere. You'll have some free time to further explore Budapest at your own pace. In the evening, there's an optional excursion to experience a Magyar show, complete with dinner, if you wish to delve deeper into Hungarian culture.
Day 8 - Budapest - Bratislava - Prague
We will depart Budapest early and make our way to Bratislava, the capital city of Slovakia. Situated along the Danube River, Bratislava boasts a captivating historic centre, where youll have time to explore and enjoy a leisurely lunch at your own pace. In the afternoon, well continue our journey to the Czech Republic, arriving in Prague by evening.
Day 9 - Prague
On the final day of our tour, enjoy a leisurely breakfast as you recollect the unforgettable experiences from your journey. Our adventure concludes here, but you'll take home a trove of cherished memories from your travels. Safe journey onward!
