Day 1 - Prague
Welcome to Prague! Upon your arrival at the airport, we will arrange your transfer to the hotel. Once settled, please consult the information boards in the hotel reception area for details about the welcome meeting with your guide. In the evening, we will escort you to the vibrant Old Town Square, a hub of lively tourist activity. Here, you can choose to dine at one of the many restaurants offering a diverse range of international cuisines, including Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian. After an enjoyable evening, we will provide a return transfer to your hotel. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Prague
Today, well explore the stunning capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, often hailed as the Baroque jewel of Europe. Our day begins with a panoramic tour led by a knowledgeable local guide who will introduce us to some of the city's most iconic monuments. Highlights include a visit to Prague Castle, where you can take in the grandeur of this historic fortressadmission is already organised. Following this, well enjoy a serene boat ride along the Vltava River, offering unique views of the city. This afternoon, youll have the freedom to wander through Prague at your leisure, perhaps discovering its charming alleyways, indulging in some local delicacies, or simply unwinding in one of its many cosy cafs.
Day 3 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
On Day 3, we set off early and make our way to Bavaria, Germany. By midday, we arrive in Munich, where youll have time to wander through the historic city centre and savour a leisurely lunch at your own pace. Our journey then takes us onwards to the stunning landscapes of Austria. Upon reaching the heart of the Alps, you'll have an opportunity to explore Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, known for its charming blend of alpine traditions and vibrant urban culture. In the evening, you can enjoy dinner in the picturesque Golden Roof area and discover Innsbruck's Old Town, before we continue on to our next destination.
Day 4 - Innsbruck - Salzburg
Today, we delve into the world of sparkling wonders with a visit to the Swarovski Museum (admission included), a renowned house of crystals. We'll wander through its mesmerising gardens and discover the intricate art of crystal crafting. After our crystalline adventure, you'll have free time to explore the historic heart of Innsbruck at your own pace. Our journey then takes us along stunning mountain roads to Kitzbhel, a charming Tyrolean town celebrated for its year-round snow and prestigious ski resort. Known for hosting the exhilarating Hahnenkamm Race, one of the worlds most famed alpine skiing events, Kitzbhel offers a touch of alpine allure. By dusk, we'll arrive in Salzburg, ready for another enchanting day.
Day 5 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
Our morning is set to uncover the charm of Salzburg, famously known as the city of Mozart. We'll wander through its enchanting Renaissance and Baroque heart, all under the watchful gaze of the grandiose castle. Following our exploration, we'll journey through picturesque landscapes of lakes and mountains until we reach St. Wolfgang, an esteemed pilgrimage destination in Austria. Our next stop is Traunkirchen, nestled on the shores of the splendid Traunsee Lake. Here, we'll embark on a relaxing cruise, giving us the chance to admire four distinctive lakeside castles before we dock in Gmunden. As the day progresses, we continue our journey to Vienna, arriving by evening.
Day 6 - Vienna
Today's adventure unfolds in Vienna, where our local guide will lead us on a sweeping tour of this magnificent city. We'll traverse its grand avenues, marvel at the splendid palaces, and enjoy the expanses of lush parks and the lively pulse of the city centre. After soaking in Viennas remarkable sights, you'll have the afternoon free to further explore. In the evening, we'll whisk you away to the charming Grinzing district, once a quaint village known for its wine-making heritage and now part of Vienna. You will have the opportunity to savour the local atmosphere and enjoy dinner at one of the traditional taverns that line the streets.
Day 7 - Vienna - Budapest
Upon our arrival in Budapest, Hungary's vibrant capital, after a three-hour journey, we will head straight to the bustling Vci utca. Here you'll have the opportunity to savour lunch at your leisure amidst the lively atmosphere. Our exploration of Budapest then begins with an included boat excursion on the Danube River, from which you can admire the contrasting landscapes of historic Buda and cosmopolitan Pest. The city's panoramic views from the river are simply unparalleled. Following the boat trip, we will embark on a guided tour of Budapest, often referred to as the "Queen of the Danube," to soak in its rich heritage. Afterwards, you'll have some free time to further explore the city at your own pace. For the evening, there's an option to attend a Magyar show, complete with dinner, offering an authentic taste of traditional Hungarian culture.
Day 8 - Budapest - Bratislava - Prague
We'll depart from Budapest early in the day and journey towards Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Bratislava, known for its picturesque setting along the Danube, boasts an inviting historic centre thats perfect for a leisurely exploration. Youll have ample time to wander its charming streets and enjoy lunch at your leisure. After this stop, our adventure continues as we travel to the Czech Republic, arriving in Prague by evening. This marks the end of our remarkable journey, leaving you with a collection of unforgettable memories. Please ensure you check your flight details, as you may require an extra night's stay in Prague.
