Day 1 - Prague
Upon landing in Prague, we'll arrange your transfer to the hotel, where you can check the reception's information boards for details on our welcome meeting with your guide. As night falls, we will transport you to the bustling Old Town Square, vibrant with activity and character. Here, you have the opportunity to dine at any of the numerous restaurants offering a richly diverse culinary selectionranging from Czech to Indian, Chinese, and Italian cuisines. After enjoying your meal and the lively atmosphere, we will provide a return transfer to your hotel for a restful night. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Prague
Today, we immerse ourselves in the enchanting city of Prague, often hailed as the Baroque jewel of Europe. Our local guide will lead us on an insightful panoramic tour, showcasing the city's most remarkable landmarks. A highlight of our day will be the visit to Prague Castle, with admission included, allowing you to delve into its rich history. Following this, we'll enjoy a leisurely boat ride on the Vltava Riveragain, this activity is part of your itinerary. Come the afternoon, you're free to further explore Prague at your own pace, perhaps visiting its charming cafs or boutique shops.
Day 3 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
On the third day of our adventure, we set off early and travel to Bavaria, Germany. By midday, we arrive in Munich, where you have the freedom to wander through the historic city centre and enjoy a leisurely lunch. In the afternoon, we continue our journey into Austria, reaching Innsbruck situated in the heart of the Alps. Here, you'll have the opportunity to explore the capital of Tyrol at your own pace. As the day winds down, enjoy dinner in the charming area near the Golden Roof and the Old Town, before we continue with our itinerary.
Day 4 - Innsbruck - Zurich
Start your day in Innsbruck with a visit to the renowned Swarovski Museum, famed for its extraordinary crystal collection. We'll explore its captivating gardens and discover the intricate process involved in crafting these stunning crystal pieces. After some leisure time for you to wander, we'll set off towards Zurich, relishing the breathtaking views of the Tyrolean landscape en route. Upon arrival in Zurich, take the evening to explore the historic centre by the lake. Here, you can indulge in a variety of dining options offering Indian, Oriental, Italian, International, or traditional Swiss cuisine.
Day 5 - Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich
Today, we journey through the breathtaking landscapes of the Interlaken region, featuring majestic mountains and pristine lakes. Our first stop is the charming village of Grindelwald, where we'll pause for a coffee before ascending the mountain by cable car. At the top, we invite you to explore a winding path that leads to a suspended bridge. If you're feeling adventurous, crossing the bridge promises awe-inspiring views of the surrounding glaciers. We will enjoy a mountain-top lunch, which is included in the itinerary, before descending. Our next destination is the picturesque city of Lucerne, celebrated as one of Switzerland's most beautiful locales. Here, you'll have free time to wander and take in the enchanting cityscape at your leisure. Later, we'll return to Zurich. For those interested, an optional full-day excursion is available. After some free time in Lucerne, you may opt to take a rotating cable car to the summit of Mount Titlis. Standing over 3,000 metres above sea level, this alpine peak offers sweeping vistas of the glacier and the Alps.
Day 6 - Zurich - Bellinzona - Como - Milan
On day six, we will depart from Zurich early in the morning, venturing across the Alps into the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. Our initial destination is Bellinzona, famed for its trio of medieval castles that are recognised as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These castles, perched on the hills surrounding the city, serve as a testament to Bellinzona's strategic historical importance as a key alpine fortress. You will have free time to explore the enchanting streets of the city centre at your leisure. After our exploration of Bellinzona, we will continue into Italy, stopping for lunch in the delightful town of Como. Known as the gem of Lombardy, Como boasts beautiful lakeside gardens and a magnificent cathedral. After taking in the sights and enjoying a relaxing lunch, we'll proceed to Milan. Here, our guide will lead us to the impressive Piazza del Duomo, where you will have time to explore before we transfer you to your hotel for the evening.
Day 7 - Milan - Pisa - Rome
On day seven, our travels take us to Pisa, where we'll embark on a scenic ride aboard a small tourist train to reach the Piazza dei Miracoli, or the Square of Miracles. Here, you will have the opportunity to admire some of Italy's most remarkable art and architecture, including the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa. After soaking up the sights and capturing those perfect photos, we'll continue onward to Rome. We'll arrive in the Italian capital later in the day, ready to savour its rich history and vibrant culture.
Day 8 - Rome
In the morning, we will set out on a comprehensive three-hour tour of Rome, offering a blend of a walking exploration and a scenic bus ride through one of the most significant cities in Western history. Our route encompasses many of Rome's iconic landmarks: the Arch of Constantine, the exterior of the Colosseum, the Imperial Forums, the Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, and the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, along with the Pyramid of Cestius and Castel Sant'Angelo. We will conclude our tour in Vatican City at around 11:00 a.m., granting you entry into the heart of the Catholic Church and the Vatican State. Following the tour, our guide will propose an optional visit to delve deeper into the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore Rome at your own pace. As the day winds down, we will transport you to the vibrant Trastevere district, renowned for its delightful eateries and lively ambience. We will return to the hotel around 8:30 p.m.
Day 9 - Rome - Florence
We depart from Rome and journey north through the splendid Italian countryside towards Florence. Upon arrival, our first stop is the stunning Piazzale Michelangelo, where you'll be treated to panoramic views of this breathtaking city. As we head into the historic centre, you'll have some time for lunch before embarking on a guided walking tour with a local expert. This tour takes you to iconic sites such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria, immersing you in the rich history and culture of Florence, often regarded as an open-air museum. Following the tour, you will have free time to explore at your leisure. As evening falls, you'll find numerous dining options, with restaurants offering a variety of international cuisines to suit your tastes.
Day 10 - Florence - Venice
Today, we journey through the breathtaking landscapes of the Apennines en route to Venice. Upon our arrival, we will board a boat to cross the Giudecca Canal, taking us directly to the iconic Island of Venice. Here, in the company of a local guide, we will explore the renowned St. Mark's Square, a vibrant hub of culture and history. Our visit continues with a fascinating tour of the Murano Glass Factory, where you'll witness the intricate artistry involved in crafting this world-famous glass. You'll then have some free time to wander around and soak in the unique atmosphere of Venice at your leisure. Accommodation for the night will be arranged in the Mestre district.
Day 11 - Venice - Innsbruck - Salzburg
Departing from Venice, we set off for Austria. Upon arrival in Innsbruck, you'll have the opportunity to meander through the historic city centre and savour lunch in this charming Tyrolean capital. Our adventure continues as we journey along picturesque alpine roads to Kitzbhel. Here, you'll have free time to explore this stunning village, renowned as a ski resort with snow possibilities for much of the year. We then proceed to Salzburg, aiming to arrive by the end of the day. Please note, if there are fewer travellers, we might opt for a train from Venice to Innsbruck instead.
Day 12 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
Today, we'll delve deeper into Austria, beginning with an exploration of Salzburg, the charming city known as the birthplace of Mozart. This citys Renaissance and Baroque architecture create a stunning backdrop against the towering castle which watches over it. Our journey then winds through picturesque lakes and mountain scenery to the famous pilgrimage destination of St. Wolfgang. Afterward, we'll visit Traunkirchen on the serene shores of Lake Traunsee, where we'll enjoy a relaxing cruise showcasing four of the lake's renowned castles. We'll disembark in Gmunden before continuing to Vienna, where we'll arrive in the evening, ready to discover the treasures of Austria's vibrant capital.
Day 13 - Vienna
Today, experience the grandeur of Vienna with a guided panoramic tour. Well take you through the city's magnificent avenues, stunning palaces, and expansive parks, offering a glimpse into its vibrant city centre. In the afternoon, you have the opportunity to explore Vienna at your own pace. In the evening, join us as we head to the Grinzing district, a picturesque area once famed for its vineyards, now integrated into the city. Here, you'll find traditional taverns where you can enjoy an authentic dining experience.
Day 14 - Vienna - Budapest
After a journey of about three hours, we will arrive in Budapest, the vibrant capital of Hungary. Our first destination is the bustling Vci utca, where you'll have some free time to enjoy lunch at your leisure. Our exploration of Budapest continues with an included boat trip on the stunning Danube River, offering unrivaled views of historic Buda on one bank and bustling Pest on the other. Following this delightful cruise, we will embark on a panoramic tour of this magnificent city, often referred to as the "Queen of the Danube." Afterwards, you'll have some free time to explore independently. In the evening, you may choose to join an optional Magyar show that includes dinner.
Day 15 - Budapest - Bratislava - Prague
Today, we will depart Budapest early and make our way to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Situated along the Danube, this charming city boasts an inviting historic centre that is perfect for exploration. Youll have ample time to wander the picturesque streets and savour a leisurely lunch. After our visit to Bratislava, we will continue on to the Czech Republic, ensuring we arrive in Prague by evening. Settle into your chosen spot for a delightful evening meal, reflecting on the day's experiences while anticipating the charm of Prague.
Day 16 - Prague
Following breakfast, it's time to bid farewell as our journey concludes today. We hope the memories of this adventure stay with you for a lifetime.
