Day 1 - Toronto
Upon your arrival in Toronto, you'll receive a warm welcome and a convenient transfer to your hotel. Take some time to unwind or explore the vibrant city on your own. Throughout the afternoon, information about the start of our journey will be provided, either in person or through informative panels located in the hotel reception area. Embrace this initial day of relaxation and anticipation as you prepare for the adventure ahead. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Toronto
Following breakfast, we'll embark on a guided tour of Toronto's highlights. Our journey will take us through the bustling streets of Chinatown, past the sleek architecture of City Hall, and into the heart of the Financial District. We'll stroll through the Eaton Centre, and explore the grandeur of Casa Loma, along with other essential attractions that showcase the vibrancy of the city. The afternoon presents you with the freedom to delve deeper into Toronto's offerings. You might opt to visit the soaring heights of the CN Tower, enjoy further shopping at Eaton Centre, or wander through the Underground City, a unique network of shopping galleries and pathways located beneath the city's financial core.As evening falls, consider a visit to Queens Quay, a dynamic area by the waterfront known for its lively atmosphere and diverse dining experiences. We'll provide accommodation for the night to ensure you're well-rested for the next day's adventures.
Day 3 - Toronto - Niagara-on-the-Lake - Niagara Falls
Following breakfast, we head to the charming town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll and soak in the surroundings. Our journey then continues to the iconic Niagara Falls. We'll pause to capture photos of the Floral Clock before embarking on the thrilling Hornblower Niagara Cruise, which takes us up close to the majestic falls. Later, you'll have free time to explore the lively attractions of Clifton Hill. Come late afternoon, we will check into our hotel at Niagara Falls for the evening.
Day 4 - Niagara Falls - Detroit
Today we journey onwards through Canada, arriving in the charming city of Windsor. Here, we stop at its picturesque Riverfront, offering a stunning view of Detroit across the river. We will then proceed to the iconic Henry Ford Museum, where admission is included, allowing us to explore its fascinating exhibits on American innovation and industry. Afterwards, we take a tour of the city itself. The day culminates with a visit to the vibrant neighbourhood of Greektown, where youll have time to enjoy dinner amidst its lively atmosphere before we return to the hotel for the evening.
Day 5 - Detroit - Saugatuck - Chicago
We begin our day early, departing from Detroit and crossing the picturesque state of Michigan en route to Saugatuck. Once in Saugatuck, enjoy some leisure time exploring its charming shopping streets, perfect for a leisurely stroll and perhaps finding a quaint spot for lunch. Our journey then continues as we head towards the vibrant city of Chicago. In the afternoon, well be transferred to Millennium Park, a lively hub that hosts an array of public art and green spaces. From there, venture into the famous Loop neighbourhood, renowned for its theatres and dazzling neon lights. You'll have ample time to savour a delightful dinner at your own pace and explore this lively area further. Our day concludes with an overnight stay, ensuring you are well-rested for the adventures ahead.
Day 6 - Chicago
After enjoying breakfast, we embark on a panoramic tour to discover Chicago's iconic sights. Our journey will take us through the vibrant New Millennium Park, past the towering Willis Tower, and into Grant Park. We'll admire the famous elevated train in The Loop, and explore Downtown along with the Museum Campus, which houses the Adler Planetarium, The Field Museum of Natural History, and the Shedd Aquarium. Crossing the bridges over the Chicago River, we will savour a sweeping view of the city from Lake Michigan. The remainder of the morning is yours to explore the city centre on foot or to ascend the Willis Tower for a breathtaking panoramic view. You'll have free time for lunch and to visit Navy Pier, a historical landmark known for being the world's largest pier at the time of its completion in 1916, now a hub for leisure and entertainment. Alternatively, you can choose to embark on a famous water tour along the picturesque Chicago River, where you'll be treated to the city's diverse and impressive architecture. Afterwards, we'll return to our accommodation for the evening.
Day 7 - Chicago - Los Angeles
Today, at the time designated by your guide, we will transfer you to the airport for your included domestic flight. Upon arriving at your destination, another transfer will be arranged to take you to your hotel. You will be able to meet your guide later this afternoon for further information, or you may consult the details available at the hotel reception. Please note, as you prepare for your flight, that the standard luggage allowance per passenger is one checked bag weighing up to 23 kilograms. Any additional luggage fees must be settled directly with the airline.
Day 8 - Los Angeles
Following breakfast, we begin our day with a comprehensive tour of Los Angeles, exploring the vibrant Music Center, the historic Civic Center, and the bustling Financial District, as well as the lively LA Live and Staples Center. We then proceed along Wilshire Boulevard, passing through the lively Korean Quarter and Brea Ditch, en route to the iconic neighbourhood of Beverly Hills. Our journey continues down Sunset Boulevard, leading us to the heart of Hollywood, where you'll have the opportunity to visit the famous Walk of Fame, the Dolby Theatre, the Chinese Theatre, and catch a glimpse of the renowned Hollywood sign. Enjoy some free time here to explore and have lunch.Later in the afternoon, we provide a transfer to Long Beach. Here, amidst a picturesque setting of palm trees and modern glass buildings, you can wander through Shoreline Village. It's the perfect spot to savour a meal in one of the areas delightful restaurants, positioned across from the historic Queen Mary ocean liner.
Day 9 - Los Angeles - Las Vegas
We depart from Los Angeles and make our way to Las Vegas, Nevada. Upon arrival, we'll take you on a tour of Downtown and the renowned Strip, the bustling avenue lined with hotels, casinos and the dazzling shows that have turned this city into an adult playground. In the evening, there's an optional opportunity to experience the Night of Lights in Las Vegas, a spectacle of illumination that further showcases the city's vibrant nightlife. Please note that this stage may operate using a regular line bus.
Day 10 - Las Vegas - Grand Canyon - Flagstaff
Departing early, we journey towards Arizona, pausing briefly in Seligman. This quaint town is nestled along the legendary Route 66, a historic symbol of American travel and adventure. Continuing onward, we arrive mid-morning at the Grand Canyon, one of the Earth's most remarkable natural wonders and a defining emblem of the American West. Entrance to the park is included, and with our guide, we'll explore the breathtaking vantage points of Bright Angel View Point and Mather Pointboth offering stunning views from over 2,000 metres above the Colorado River. For those seeking an elevated perspective, optional plane tours are available. As the day fades, we head to our hotel for a well-deserved rest.
Day 11 - Flagstaff - Las Vegas
After enjoying breakfast in Flagstaff, we embark on our journey back to Nevada. En route, we will pass the impressive Hoover Dam, where we will observe from the bus, followed by a stop for lunch. Our travels continue to Las Vegas, where you will have the afternoon to explore one of the citys popular shopping outlets with transportation arranged for you. The evening is yours to experience the vibrant entertainment Las Vegas is renowned for. Whether its a concert, a theatre show, or the breathtaking Cirque du Soleil, the choice is yours as you enjoy a free night to discover the city's dazzling attractions.
Day 12 - Las Vegas - Death valley - Bakersfield
Following breakfast, we embark on a fascinating drive through Death Valley, the largest national park in the USA, renowned for its striking and rugged terrain. Our journey includes a stop at the iconic Zabriskie Point, offering views of the ancient salt lake beds, and a visit to Badwater Basinthe lowest point in the USA at 85 metres below sea level. Before leaving the park, we indulge in a traditional Far West lunch. As we continue, we cross the central mountain range, skirting the picturesque shores of Lake Isabella, before reaching Bakersfield. Please note that from June to October, this part of the journey is rerouted to include a visit to Calico Ghost Town due to high temperatures and park closures.
Day 13 - Bakersfield - Sequoia National Park - Fresno
Having enjoyed the rugged landscapes of the desert, today we immerse ourselves in the lush expanses of Sequoia National Park, home to the majestic Giant Sequoias. After breakfast, we leave Bakersfield behind and head into one of the USA's most breathtaking forests. Here, amidst these magnificent trees, we will visit the world-renowned General Sherman Tree, the largest tree on Earth by volume. Take a leisurely walk among these colossal natural monuments, capturing the essence of this unique environment through your camera lens. Following our forest adventure, we continue our journey to Fresno for the evening.
Day 14 - Fresno - Yosemite - San Francisco
Today, we embark on an unforgettable journey to Yosemite National Park, renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty. After breakfast, we set off from Fresno towards this iconic destination, where we will marvel at the park's awe-inspiring landscapestowering precipices, stunning waterfalls, and lush vegetation. Our exploration will include visits to some of Yosemite's most significant landmarks, such as El Capitan, Half Dome, and the mesmerising waterfalls. You'll have some free time to enjoy lunch amidst this serene environment. In the afternoon, we continue our journey to the vibrant city of San Francisco, arriving in the late afternoon. As you settle into this dynamic city, take in the rich culture, diverse neighbourhoods, and stunning vistas that await.
Day 15 - San Francisco
Following breakfast, we embark on a comprehensive tour of San Francisco. We'll traverse the bustling Union Square, famous for its iconic trams, before moving through the historic Chinatown and the bustling Financial District, Theatre District, and Civic Centre. At Alamo Square, you'll witness the celebrated Victorian houses, famously known as the 'Painted Ladies', set against the backdrop of San Franciscos modern skylinea backdrop featured in many films.Our journey continues through the vibrant Castro neighbourhood before reaching Twin Peaks, where we're treated to sweeping panoramic views of the city and its stunning bay. We'll then explore the historic Haight-Ashbury district, once the heart of the 1960s hippie movement, before making a stop at the expansive Golden Gate Park.Our tour culminates at the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, a symbol of both the city and its engineering prowess.
