Day 1 - Montreal
Upon arriving in Montreal, we'll ensure a smooth transfer to your hotel, offering you some leisure time to acclimatise to your new surroundings. In the afternoon, youll receive essential information about the itinerary's commencement. This can be obtained either directly from our representatives or by checking the information panels located in the hotel's reception area. Enjoy your free time in Montreal, soaking up the vibrant atmosphere of this beautiful city. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Day 2 - Montreal - Quebec
Today begins with breakfast followed by a panoramic tour of Montreal, where we'll explore key landmarks of this vibrant city. Our morning itinerary includes a visit to Parc Mont Royal, offering stunning vistas, St. Joseph's Oratory, an architectural marvel and significant religious site, and the impressive Cathedral. After enjoying lunch in the city, we depart for Quebec. Upon arrival, you'll have a chance to settle into your accommodation and start exploring this charming city at your leisure.
Day 3 - Quebec
Following breakfast, we embark on a panoramic tour of Quebec City, exploring its most significant landmarks including the iconic Chteau Frontenac, the historic Place Royale, the renowned Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupr, and the fortified Citadelle. In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore the city at your leisure. We suggest visiting the magnificent Montmorency Falls, where you can appreciate the impressive natural beauty of this region.
Day 4 - Quebec - Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts - Mont-Tremblant - Ottawa
After breakfast, our day unfolds amidst the striking Canadian landscapes as we set off on a journey through the picturesque Laurentian Hills. Our first stop is the enchanting town of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, where the serene beauty of the locale offers a delightful pause. Continuing our exploration, we head to Mont-Tremblant, renowned for its celebrated ski resort, where the surrounding splendour is sure to captivate you. As we venture onward, we make our way to Ottawa, the vibrant capital city of Canada. Here, you'll find a rich tapestry of culture and history awaiting discovery. Upon arrival, settle in and enjoy your stay in this dynamic city.
Day 5 - Ottawa - Thousand Islands - Toronto
After breakfast, we embark on a tour of Ottawa. Our morning includes visits to the Rideau Canal and the Parliament Buildings, where in the months of July and August, you can witness the ceremonial Changing of the Guard. We then proceed to Gananoque for a scenic cruise along the St. Lawrence River, offering breathtaking views of the famous Thousand Islands. Upon disembarking, we continue our journey southwards, arriving at our hotel in Toronto late in the afternoon.
Day 6 - Toronto
After enjoying breakfast in Toronto, we embark on an engaging sightseeing tour. Our journey includes key stops around the city such as bustling Chinatown, the iconic City Hall, the Financial District, the vibrant Eaton Centre, and the striking Casa Loma, among other notable tourist attractions. In the afternoon, you have the opportunity to visit the CN Tower, explore the shops at the Eaton Centre, or wander through the sprawling Underground City, which boasts 25 kilometres of shopping arcades beneath the financial district. Come evening, you may choose to explore Queens Quay, a lively waterfront area teeming with restaurants offering diverse culinary delights. Accommodation will be provided for the night.
Day 7 - Toronto - Niagara-on-the-Lake - Niagara Falls
After breakfast, we'll set off for the picturesque town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, known for its charming streets and historic architecture. After a leisurely stroll, we'll proceed to the iconic Niagara Falls. Here, we'll pause to capture the beauty of the Floral Clock before embarking on the Hornblower Niagara Cruise. This thrilling boat ride takes us right to the base of the magnificent falls, offering an unforgettable experience. You'll then have some free time to explore the exciting attractions on Clifton Hill at your leisure. As the day winds down, we'll make our way to our hotel in Niagara Falls for the evening.
Day 8 - Niagara Falls - Detroit
Today, we continue our journey through Canada, heading towards Windsor. Upon arrival, we'll take a moment to enjoy a stop at the scenic Riverfront, which offers splendid views across the water to the city of Detroit. Our exploration continues as we visit the renowned Henry Ford Museum, where admission is included. This museum offers fascinating insights into American innovation and history. Afterwards, we spend some time exploring the vibrant Greektown area, where you can choose from a variety of dining options for dinner. As the evening unfolds, we return to our hotel for a restful night.
Day 9 - Detroit - Saugatuck - Chicago
In the morning, we set off from Detroit, journeying across the state of Michigan to reach the charming town of Saugatuck. You'll have some leisure time to explore the local shops and enjoy a leisurely lunch. Our journey then continues towards Chicago. Upon arrival in the afternoon, we'll take you to Millennium Park and The Loop, a vibrant neighbourhood renowned for its theatres and dazzling neon lights. You'll have the evening free to dine and explore at your own pace, with accommodation arranged in Chicago.
Day 10 - Chicago
Following breakfast, we embark on a comprehensive tour of Chicago. Our journey will take us to some of the citys most iconic landmarks, including the sprawling Millennium Park, the towering Willis Tower, and the expansive Grant Park. Well also experience the unique elevated train in The Loop and explore Downtown. On our route, well visit the Museum Campus, home to the Adler Planetarium, the Field Museum of Natural History, and the Shedd Aquarium. Well cross the picturesque bridges over the Chicago River and enjoy a sweeping view of the city from the lake.In your free time this morning, you might choose to explore the city centre on foot or savour the panoramic vistas from the Willis Tower. After lunch, why not visit Navy Pier, which, when completed in 1916, was the largest pier in the world. Today, it serves as a hub for leisure activities in Chicago. Additionally, there is the option to join a renowned water tour along the Chicago River, providing a fantastic opportunity to admire the city's remarkable and diverse architecture. Your accommodation is arranged for the evening.
Day 11 - Chicago - Los Angeles
At the designated time, we will transfer you to the airport for your included domestic flight. Upon arrival at your destination, a transfer will be arranged to take you to your hotel. Your guide will be in touch by late afternoon, or you can check for updates at the hotel reception. Please be aware that on domestic flights, you are typically permitted one suitcase of up to 23 kg in the hold. Any additional luggage charges must be settled directly with the airline.
Day 12 - Los Angeles
Following breakfast, we embark on a comprehensive tour of Los Angeles, a sprawling city filled with iconic sights. Our journey commences at the vibrant Music Centre, followed by visits to the Civic and Financial Centres. We'll traverse LA Live and the Staples Center, and continue our exploration along Wilshire Boulevard. While navigating westwards, we'll pass through the Korean Quarter and drive by the Brea Ditch, eventually arriving in the elegant district of Beverly Hills. Sunset Boulevard leads us to Hollywood, home to the celebrated Walk of Fame, the Dolby and Chinese Theatres, and a vantage point to admire the Hollywood sign.In the afternoon, enjoy the freedom to explore the area at your leisure and find a spot for lunch. Later on, we'll provide a transfer to Long Beach. Here, amidst a backdrop of palm trees and modern architecture, you'll have time to wander through the dynamic Shoreline Village. This area is replete with lively dining options, offering a perfect setting for a relaxed meal within view of the historic Queen Mary transatlantic.
Day 13 - Los Angeles - Las Vegas
Departing from Los Angeles, we head towards the vibrant city of Las Vegas, Nevada. Upon arrival, we include an afternoon tour that will introduce you to both Downtown and the iconic Strip, the lively boulevard renowned for its impressive hotels, casinos, and entertainment shows that make this city a veritable playground for adults. In the evening, there's an optional opportunity to experience the 'Night of Lights' in Las Vegas. Please note, this section of the journey may be operated via a regular line bus.
Day 14 - Las Vegas - Grand Canyon - Flagstaff
Today, we depart early from Las Vegas, venturing into the heart of Arizona. Our journey takes us to the charming town of Seligman, nestled along the historic Route 66. Here, you'll have a chance to soak in the retro Americana atmosphere before we continue to the majestic Grand Canyon a true emblem of the American West. Arriving by mid-morning, entry to the national park is included. With our guide, well explore the awe-inspiring Bright Angel View Point and Mather Point, which offer breathtaking vistas from an elevation exceeding 2,000 metres above the river. For those interested, there is an optional opportunity to experience the grandeur of the canyon from above on a plane excursion. As the day draws to a close, we transfer to our hotel where you can relax after a day filled with natural wonders.
Day 15 - Flagstaff - Las Vegas
Following breakfast, we set off towards Nevada, catching a glimpse of the Hoover Dam from the comfort of our bus, although we will not stop here. We'll make a stop for lunch en route. Once in Las Vegas, we'll take you to one of the citys bustling outlets for some shopping. The evening is yours to explore the vibrant nightlife of Las Vegas, offering various entertainment options, including concerts, theatre performances, and the spectacular Cirque du Soleil shows.
Day 16 - Las Vegas - Death valley - Bakersfield
Following breakfast, we embark on an early departure for a unique journey through Death Valley, the largest national park in the USA, renowned for its dramatic and rugged landscapes. Our journey includes a pause at the iconic Zabriskie Point, renowned for its stunning views and remnants of ancient salt lakes, and at Badwater Basin, the lowest point in the USA at 85 metres below sea level. Before we bid farewell to the park, we enjoy a classic Far West lunch. We then traverse the central mountain range and journey along the banks of Lake Isabella, arriving in Bakersfield later in the day. Please note, from June to October, due to intense heat and park closures, our Death Valley visit is exchanged for a trip to Calico Ghost Town.
Day 17 - Bakersfield - Sequoia National Park - Fresno
Today, we venture into the awe-inspiring Sequoia National Park, a realm vastly different from the desert landscapes of the previous day. After breakfast, we leave behind the arid terrain and journey into one of the most magnificent forests in the United States, home to the extraordinary Giant Sequoias. In the park, you'll have the opportunity to photograph the renowned General Sherman, the largest tree in the world, and meander among these ancient giants. Later, we will continue our journey to Fresno, where the day concludes.
Day 18 - Fresno - Yosemite - San Francisco
After breakfast, we set out to explore the breathtaking Yosemite National Park, renowned for its dramatic cliffs and impressive waterfalls. This park offers one of the most stunning mountain landscapes in the world. First, we will visit Yosemites iconic landmarks, including El Capitan, Half Dome, and the park's picturesque waterfalls. You'll have some free time to enjoy lunch amid this natural beauty. In the afternoon, we continue our journey to the vibrant city of San Francisco, arriving in the late afternoon for an evening at leisure.
Day 19 - San Francisco
Following breakfast, we embark on a tour of San Francisco, exploring Union Square with its iconic trams and bustling Chinatown. We'll journey through the Financial District, the Theatre District, Civic Centre, and Alamo Square, where you'll admire the famous painted Victorian houses contrasted against the modern city skyline, a backdrop familiar from numerous films. Our route will take us through the lively Castro neighbourhood and up to the Twin Peaks for a breathtaking panoramic view of the city and bay. Next, we pass through the historic Haight-Ashbury district, celebrated as the birthplace of the 1960s counterculture movement, and proceed to a brief stop at Golden Gate Park. Our city tour concludes at the Golden Gate Bridge. In the afternoon, you may choose to visit Sausalito, known for its stunning views of San Francisco and the bay. In the evening, we provide a transfer to North Beach, San Francisco's "Little Italy," renowned for its vibrant nightlife and a delightful range of restaurants.
