Day 1 - Vienna
Upon arrival in Vienna, your journey begins as you board the MS ALBERTINA. Check-in officially starts at 4 p.m., allowing plenty of time for those who arrive earlier to drop off luggage and start discovering Vienna at their own pace. Once aboard, you'll be treated to a welcome cocktail, setting a pleasant tone for the evening. Weve planned a delightful dinner to be enjoyed on the ship, offering a chance to relax and settle in. As night falls, the ship remains docked in Vienna, giving you an enticing first glimpse of this beautiful city. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Vienna - Budapest
On the second day, you'll experience a delightful cruise with all meals included. After a hearty breakfast, we offer an optional excursion to discover Vienna's iconic landmarks. You'll explore the renowned Ringstrasse, the world-famous Vienna State Opera, the captivating Museum of Fine Arts, the intriguing Natural History Museum, and the grand Hofburg Palace, once the winter abode of emperors. Additionally, you'll see the impressive Votive Church and the National Theatre. Following the tour, there's free time for you to immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere of Vienna's Christmas markets. The day concludes with an overnight sail, setting the stage for the next adventure.
Day 3 - Budapest - Bratislava
Today, we find ourselves in the captivating city of Budapest, often referred to as the "Pearl of the Danube." After breakfast on board, we will offer an optional guided tour of the Hungarian capital where you can discover some of its most iconic landmarks. The tour will introduce you to Heroes Square, a must-see with its impressive statues celebrating Hungarian history. You will also get the chance to explore the bustling Central Market, a vibrant hub for local produce and artisan goods. Our tour includes notable sites such as the Synagogue, a significant landmark in the Jewish Quarter, and the grand Opera House, renowned for its architecture and cultural influence.Following the tour, youll have the afternoon to yourself to delve deeper into Budapest's charm. Perhaps take a leisurely stroll to absorb the festive atmosphere of the city's renowned Christmas markets. These delightful markets offer a perfect opportunity to soak up the local culture, sample seasonal treats, and maybe pick up a souvenir or two. As the day concludes, we will continue our journey overnight, sailing away to our next destination.
Day 4 - Bratislava - Vienna
On our fourth day, we will arrive in Bratislava early in the morning. After enjoying a hearty breakfast on board, you can choose to join us on an optional walking tour of Slovakia's capital, Bratislava. This excursion will take us through the charming historic centre, where we will explore notable landmarks such as the Old Town Hall, Hlavn Nmestie Square, the Ganymedova Fountain, the Slovak National Theater, and St. Martin's Cathedral. The afternoon offers you free time to wander the lively Christmas markets and soak up the festive atmosphere. In the evening, we will continue our journey with overnight sailing.
Day 5 - Vienna
Following breakfast, we'll begin the disembarkation process in Vienna. Guests are required to leave their cabins by 9:00 a.m. However, you're welcome to store your luggage on board and relax in the communal spaces or take the opportunity to explore the city further until it's time for your transfer. This marks the conclusion of our services. We hope you've enjoyed the journey and wish you safe travels onwards.
