Day 1 - Darwin to Kakadu Wildlife & Rock Art
Darwin - Kakadu National Park - Jabiru. Today, you will be picked up from the designated meeting point between 06:15 and 06:30 AM. We set off towards the Mary River Wetlands, where a cruise along Corroboree Billabong introduces us to the region’s rich birdlife and the chance to see saltwater crocodiles up close.
Our journey continues into Kakadu National Park with a stop at the Bowali Visitor Centre, an excellent place to learn about the area’s natural environment and cultural heritage. After a short break at camp, we travel north to Cahills Crossing, a well-known viewing point on the edge of Arnhem Land.
In the late afternoon, we explore Ubirr, a site of outstanding Aboriginal rock art. Here we discover ancient paintings that tell stories across generations before climbing to the top of the escarpment for sweeping views over the Nadab Floodplain at sunset. We round off the day by returning to our private camp, preparing dinner together, and enjoying the evening in good company.
