Itinerary
Day 1 - Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City!
Once you arrive at Ho Chi Minh City International Airport, you will be met and transferred for 45 minutes to an hour to your hotel for check-in. After settling in, you will have the rest of the day at leisure. You may wish to take a stroll around the lively Ben Thanh Market, sample local street food, or simply relax and adjust to the city’s pace with a walk around the hotel’s neighbourhood.
Please note: Check-in is from 2 PM / 3 PM.
Distance: 8 KM
Day 2 - Half-Day Guided Tour of Ho Chi Minh City
This morning, meet in the hotel lobby at 9 AM for the start of your city adventure. You will see two very different sides of Ho Chi Minh City, linked by its oldest surviving bridge.
Your journey begins in District 1, travelling by open-air electric buggy. This central area is home to wide tree-lined streets and elegant colonial-era buildings that reflect the city’s French heritage. Along the route, you will pass key landmarks including the Central Post Office, the Opera House, Ben Thanh Market and the imposing City Hall. There will be short breaks along the way for your guide to share stories that bring these sights to life.
The ride ends at a bridge built in 1882 by Gustave Eiffel, which connects District 1 to District 4. Once known for its criminal underworld, District 4 is now a lively neighbourhood of narrow lanes and riverside life, with echoes of the Mekong Delta. After crossing, pause for a café stop before exploring a covered market and its surrounding alleys. The morning concludes with a street-food tasting beneath the old chung cu apartment blocks, offering a flavour of everyday Saigon.
The afternoon and evening are yours to spend as you wish. You might take a gentle walk in Tao Dan Park, visit the city’s flower market, or enjoy the buzz of Nguyen Hue walking street. Later, you could relax with a coffee overlooking the river or watch the city light up from a rooftop terrace.
Day 3 - Ho Chi Minh at Leisure or Optional Mekong Delta Excursion
Today, you will have free time to enjoy Ho Chi Minh City at your own pace. You might take a walk along Nguyen Hue walking street, browse the lively Ben Thanh Market, or relax in a café and watch the bustle of daily life unfold. For a slower pace, Tao Dan Park offers shaded pathways and a welcome escape from the traffic.
Alternatively, you can choose to join a full-day excursion to the Mekong Delta (available at an additional fee). Departing your hotel at 8 AM, you will leave the city behind and travel for around two and a half hours to reach a quieter part of the delta, close to the river’s mouth.
Here, you board a private boat and begin your exploration. The day is filled with opportunities to experience local life: visiting a small factory, meeting residents, and cruising through waterways. Lunch is served at a family-run guesthouse on a little-visited island.
In the afternoon, you visit a bee farm before cycling along narrow paths through orchards and farmland. A stop at a local farm introduces you to the production of sâm jelly, which you will have the chance to taste. Later, you transfer to a sampan to glide through a stretch of dense mangroves before rejoining your driver for the return journey to Ho Chi Minh City.
Please note: The order of activities on the optional tour may vary, with some taking place in the morning or afternoon depending on timing. Lunch is included for the optional tour.
Day 4 - Ho Chi Minh City To Mui Ne
Ho Chi Minh City - Mui Ne. After breakfast, you will be picked up by your driver for the journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Mui Ne. The drive takes around three and a half to four hours, passing through changing landscapes as the bustle of the city gives way to open countryside, coastal scenery, and small towns along the way.
On arrival in Mui Ne, you will check in at your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. You might choose to unwind on the beach, take a walk to the harbour to see the colourful fishing boats, or visit the local market. For something more active, the famous sand dunes nearby offer a striking setting for a late-afternoon stroll and a chance to watch the sunset.
Distance: 200 KM
Day 5 - Mui Ne at Leisure
Today is free to relax and enjoy Mui Ne at your own pace. You may wish to spend time on the beach, swim in the warm waters, or simply unwind by your hotel pool. If you feel like exploring, the nearby Fairy Stream offers a gentle walk through unusual rock formations and lush surroundings.
Day 6 - Exploring Local Life
Another day at leisure in Mui Ne. You could take a morning stroll to the fishing village to see the colourful boats and daily catch, or visit the lively local market. The afternoon is ideal for relaxing on the beach or enjoying the area’s coastal scenery.
Day 7 - Coastal Scenery & Sand Dunes
Your final free day in Mui Ne gives you time to enjoy the area as you wish. You might head out to the striking sand dunes for a walk, particularly beautiful at sunrise or sunset, or simply spend the day soaking up the laid-back atmosphere of this seaside town.
Day 8 - Mui Ne to Ho Chi Minh City
Mui Ne - Ho Chi Minh City. After your final breakfast in Mui Ne, you have time at leisure to relax or make the most of the coastal atmosphere before checking out. You will then be transferred to Ho Chi Minh City Airport for your onward flight.
Please note: Check out is from 12 PM.
