Day 1 - Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City
Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, you’ll be met by your guide and driver for your transfer to the hotel. Formerly known as Saigon, this is Vietnam’s largest city – a vibrant economic powerhouse where modern life sits alongside centuries-old traditions.
Day 2 - Saigon Half-Day Tour
This morning, we begin with a visit to the Reunification Palace, once the residence of the President of South Vietnam. Here, you’ll learn about the events leading up to the fall of Saigon in 1975. Next, we explore the War Remnants Museum, which houses a powerful collection of photographs and artefacts documenting the Vietnam War and its impact.
We finish with a stop at the Notre-Dame Cathedral, built between 1877 and 1883 using materials imported from France. A striking example of neo-Romanesque architecture, the cathedral remains a major centre of Catholicism in Vietnam.
Note: The cathedral is currently under renovation, so visits are from the outside only.
Day 3 - Discover the Mekong Delta
Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh. We head south to Ben Tre, known as the ‘Land of Coconuts’, in the heart of the Mekong Delta. A boat trip through quiet waterways and mangrove forests takes us to local workshops where we’ll see bricks made by hand and learn how coconuts are processed into various products. Along the way, sample tropical fruits and sweets, and enjoy traditional music.
Afterwards, we walk to a nearby home where sleeping mats are woven by hand – you’ll have the chance to try weaving yourself. Then, hop on a tuk-tuk for a relaxed ride through villages, rice paddies, and coconut groves.We pause for lunch at a local restaurant before a peaceful rowing boat journey through a palm-lined canal. Finally, we return to the pier by motorboat and transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 4 - Flight to Phu Quoc
Ho Chi Minh - Phu Quoc. Today, we transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Phu Quoc Island. On arrival, transfer to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Days 5-8 - Free Days in Phu Quoc
Enjoy four full days at leisure to relax or explore Phu Quoc at your own pace. The island is known for its white-sand beaches, clear waters, and laid-back charm.
Day 9 - Departure flight to Ho Chi Minh
Phu Quoc - Ho Chi Minh. We transfer to the airport for the return flight to Ho Chi Minh City, where you’ll connect with your onward flight.
