Itinerary
Day 1 - Ho Chi Minh City
Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival, you will be collected at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and transferred to your hotel (check in is from 14:00). Your first evening in the city also known as Saigon is at leisure.
Day 2 - Exploring Ho Chi Minh City
Saigon - officially known as Ho Chi Minh City - is Vietnam’s largest and most dynamic metropolis. As the country’s economic powerhouse, it combines modern energy with a rich and often turbulent history. Your guided sightseeing tour begins at the Reunification Palace, the former residence of the President of South Vietnam. Here, you will learn about the events leading up to the fall of Saigon in 1975 and the end of the Vietnam War.
You then visit the War Remnants Museum, established in September 1975 and originally named the Museum of American War Crimes. Its exhibitions include photographs, documents, and artefacts that record the human and environmental cost of the war, as well as displays of military vehicles such as planes, tanks, bombs, and helicopters.
Your final stop is the Notre-Dame Cathedral, a neo-Romanesque masterpiece built between 1877 and 1883 using materials imported from France. It remains one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks and a key centre of Catholicism in Vietnam. Please note: the cathedral is currently under renovation, so we will view it from the outside only. After today's tour, you will be transferred back to the hotel.
Day 3 - Mekong Delta Day Trip
Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh City. This morning, you travel south to the Mekong Delta for a full day exploring its maze of waterways and local cottage industries. On arrival in Ben Tre, board a river boat and make a stop at a traditional brick factory to see how clay bricks are moulded and fired using age-old methods.
You continue along the canal to visit a coconut processing workshop, followed by a family-run business where women weave traditional sleeping mats. There’s time to enjoy fresh tropical fruit and tea, and chat with the locals.
Leaving the waterways behind, take a motor cart (xe lôi) along quiet, shaded roads, passing rice fields and vegetable plots where farmers tend their crops. A home-cooked lunch is served with a local family in Ben Tre, offering a glimpse into rural life.
Afterwards, return to the water by row boat for a gentle cruise along palm-lined creeks. Later in the afternoon, you return to the pier, where your vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 4 - Ho Chi Minh City to Danang
Ho Chi Minh City - Danang. It's time to leave Saigon as you are transferred to the airport for your included flight north to Danang, home to the famous My Khe beach. On arrival, transfer to the hotel.
Days 5-8 - Danang & My Khe Beach at Leisure
Enjoy four days at leisure in Danang, a vibrant coastal city known for its laid-back charm and sweeping beaches. With your hotel conveniently located near My Khe Beach - a long stretch of soft white sand popular with both locals and visitors - this is an ideal spot to unwind. Swim in the clear waters, enjoy fresh seafood from nearby restaurants, or simply relax with a good book under a palm tree.
If you're keen to explore beyond the beach, you’ll find plenty to fill your days. You could visit the striking Marble Mountains - a cluster of limestone and marble hills home to caves, pagodas and panoramic viewpoints - just a short drive from the city. For a cultural insight, the Cham Sculpture Museum offers a fascinating collection of artefacts from the ancient Champa Kingdom.
In the evenings, Danang’s riverside promenade comes alive with cafés and bars, and you might catch the spectacular Dragon Bridge breathing fire and water at the weekend. You’ll also have time to take a day trip further afield - perhaps to the Ba Na Hills and the famous Golden Bridge, or to the historic town of Hoi An, just 45 minutes away.
These days are yours to spend as you choose - whether you’re looking to relax, explore or a mix of both, Danang offers the perfect base.
Day 9 - Danang
Your tour comes to an end today. After breakfast and hotel check-out, a driver will collect you and take you back to Danang International Airport for your onward flight.
