Day 1 - Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City
Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, you will be met by your guide and driver for your transfer to the hotel. Formerly known as Saigon, this is Vietnam’s largest city – a bustling economic hub and cultural trendsetter that still preserves the traditions of an ancient culture.
Day 2 - Highlights of Saigon, Half-Day Tour
Our morning begins at the Reunification Palace – the former residence of the President of South Vietnam – where you will learn about the events leading up to the fall of Saigon in 1975. We then visit the War Remnants Museum, established in September 1975, which houses a sobering collection of artefacts, photographs, military vehicles and aircraft documenting the conflict and its impact.
Our final stop is the Notre-Dame Cathedral, built between 1877 and 1883 using materials imported from France. This Neo-Romanesque landmark remains a key centre of Catholicism in Vietnam.
Note: The cathedral is currently under renovation – visits are from the outside only.
Day 3 - Coconut Country, Mekong Delta Excursion
Ho Chi Minh - Mekomg Delta - Ho Chi Minh. This morning, we travel south to Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta, renowned for its coconut production. On arrival, we board a boat to explore the winding waterways and mangrove forests. We will stop at traditional brick and coconut-processing workshops, sampling sweets and fruits along the way, and enjoy live local music.
Continuing by boat, we disembark for a short walk to a family home to see how sleeping mats are woven by hand – and you may try weaving yourself. A tuk-tuk ride through hamlets, rice fields and coconut groves follows, before we enjoy a lunch of Mekong Delta specialities at a local restaurant. A rowing boat trip along a shaded canal concludes the visit before returning by boat to the pier and driving back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 4 - Ho Chi Minh City to Mui Ne
Ho Chi Minh City - Mui Ne. We transfer to Mui Ne by private car with our guide – a journey of approximately 3.5 to 4 hours. The rest of the day is at leisure in Mui Ne.
Days 5-8 - Mui Ne, Days at Leisure
Enjoy four full days at leisure in Mui Ne. Relax on the beach, explore the sand dunes or take part in optional activities at your own pace.
Day 9 - Transfer to Ho Chi Minh City Airport
Mui Ne - Ho Chi Minh. Today, we transfer back to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your departure flight.
